This post features an imaginative story which would be easier on the eyes if broken in to smaller paragraph sized chunks with a line of white space between each paragraph. The image is interesting.

The tags at the bottom of the post tell me this is a ds106 assignment but I get no clue from the blog post itself that this has been submitted as a ds106 assignment. Usually we like to see a link back to the original assignment.

Thanks for sharing your reflections on Jay’s thoughtful and informative presentation. I think you raise some important questions here.

I suppose one reason why company’s invest so much time, energy and money on protecting patents is that there is so much money at stake in the IT world. I am also concerned about the idea of one corporation, such as Google, completely dominating and nearly owning the internet.

There are serious implications to such a monopolistic form or control

I might have mentioned before that it makes for much easier reading to use paragraphs in a blog post.

I get the sense that you are a bit frightened when thinking about how the future will unfold in terms of the way we interact with technology. I think many of your fears about how an online system can be gamed and abused through fraud are valid. I’m sure the educational institutions are thinking deeply about this.

I believe the main part of the blogging activity I requested in terms of Dr. Alexander’s video was for you to imagine yourself living in one of these future scenarios in 2012.
